We began working with Baby Fit in April 2021. They're a fitness company in Edinburgh run by Lisa Kitching, who uses her own experience with going through IVF to help other clients. She's the first in Scotland to run specific diet and exercise programmes for women (and their partners) undergoing IVF in a bid to increase the chances of success. The Sunday Post covered her story in detail in May.

Writing in the Scotland on Sunday in June, Lisa said the Scottish Government's Baby Box scheme had more to do when it comes to helping new mothers with their physical and mental health. As part of their efforts to reach out to new mums in all parts of Edinburgh, Baby Fit linked up with a city life coach to lay on a free event encouraging exercise and positive thinking.

Lisa's firm Baby Fit set up a dedicated online page for women in Edinburgh to search for the fitness classes they wanted. The Women's Fit Edinburgh group also allows businesses in the health and fitness industry to find clients.

One area Lisa works in is to support women who've suffered miscarriage. Together, we analysed figures which showed there are at least 12,000 miscarriages a year in Scotland. Yet no-one speaks about it and support for those who've gone through it is poor. We teamed up with cases study Amy Falconer, from Edinburgh, to highlight the issue.
